We welcome your partnership as we serve the hurting, hungry, and homeless in the Twin Cities. Many of us want to reach out to those in need, but never see broken, destitute people in our communities. Our paths just don’t cross with those who are most crippled by the economy or by bad choices.

We want to help, but don’t know how.

The Union Gospel Mission has been filling this basic service and essential ministry for 107 years. Your gifts to UGM make you part of the process and your partnership allows us to offer free, hot meals and safe, clean shelter – but most of all, together we offer hope!

Clothing
Clothing that is clean and in good condition can be dropped off at our Central Services building located at 435 University Avenue East, St. Paul. Matching gifts
Many employers have matching-gift programs through which your generosity to Union Gospel Mission can be multiplied. As a non-profit human services organization, Union Gospel Mission is eligible for many matching-gift programs of corporations, foundations, and other organizations.

Federal employees

Stocks and other property
Gifts of appreciated securities offer tax advantages including forgiveness of the tax on capital gain and an income tax charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities. You also can make gifts of property such as real estate, life insurance, and retirement accounts. These gifts provide tax advantages and may require independent appraisals to meet Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidelines.

Electronic delivery of stock shares is the most secure and expedient delivery process available and provides efficient internal control as well as cost savings. Please instruct your broker to deliver stock via DTC to:

Receipts
To confirm that we receive your gift and for tax purposes, we will send you a letter documenting the gift amount.
