Job Title: Men’s Programs Chaplain
Reports To: Director of Chaplains
Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is a
Christian ministry dedicated to serving the homeless, poor, and addicted in

SUMMARY:
The Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is seeking to change lives with the
Gospel within the community. The Men’s Programs Chaplain provides support to
the Director of Chaplains who oversees spiritual care for all clients at the
Mission. In particular, Men’s Programs Chaplain provides spiritual care and
direction to men enrolled in the Discipleship Program, Gateway Program, and
the Christ Recovery Center.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides spiritual care to Men’s Program
participants (Discipleship, Gateway, and Christ Recovery Center) including
periodic pastoral follow-up via visitation, prayer, non-therapeutic counsel,
and spiritual direction.

Provides direct administrative support to
the Chaplain Director regarding the routine operation of the Chaplain
Department.

Maintains chaplain staffing, and periodic
support-oriented activity schedules such as devotion and Bible study and
with other activities that may impact Chaplain staffing.

Maintains the Client Tracking Database
and generates the monthly Outcome Based Evaluation report including routine
quality assurance monitoring.

As an integral member of the chaplain
staff, provides administrative support for the Chapel Dormitory Case
Management program including the use of client intake and tracking process
software.

Supports the evening chapel program
schedule, chaplain staffing, and adherence to policies and procedures for
this area.

Fosters a co-operative work environment
with other Mission programs to ensure that program goals and objectives are
achieved.

Confers with the Director of Chaplains
and other administrative personnel, (i.e., Men’s Program Director) to review
achievements and issues impacting reaching targeting goals.

Responsible for maintaining client
confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA Privacy Regulations.

Compiles records and prepares monthly
reports.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties
as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Christian ministry and a Licensed/Ordained
minister. Two year’s ministry experience or experience in a related field
and be willing to participate in on-going educational opportunities and
certifications.

Microsoft Office software applications.

demonstrate initiative.

Able to support UGM’s statement of
Christian faith and share that faith and knowledge with staff and clients.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL
EFFORT:

Work is normally performed in a typical
interior/office work environment.

No or very limited exposure to physical
risk.
