Job Title: Program Assistant -
Teen
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Program Director - Ober Community Center
The following statements are intended to
describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not
intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities,
duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, provides a range of support activities for the
Program Coordinator, which require comprehensive administration,
organizational and operational skills and specialized knowledge. Coordinates
various program-related reports, and maintenance of program databases.
Participates in operational planning and coordinates the development of unit
operating policies and procedures
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Assists program director in implementing
the specific teen program curriculum, the daily activities, and operations
of all programs and funds assigned to the program.

Assists with the coordination of
activities related to teen programs.
-
Develops activities and related timelines
to meet established teen program goals.
-
Track program expenses to ensure they do
not exceed the program’s budget.
-
Evaluates program results and prepares
related reports for program management.
-
Keeps on-going in-house program databases
for tracking of services provided.
-
Serves as administrative liaison and
coordinates interaction between department operating units, other Mission
departments and programs, and/or external agencies, as appropriate.
-
May conduct training and informational
workshops regarding program matters for interns, volunteers, and other
Mission organizations and committees.

Drive vans for programs and events.
-
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties
as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree and 2 years experience directly related to the duties and
responsibilities specified (or equivalent combination education and
experience). Must have a valid drivers license and an excellent driving
record. Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Knowledge of program specific ministry
concepts, practices, policies, and procedures.

Strong interpersonal and communication
skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of
constituencies in a diverse community.

Ability to plan, organize and direct
multiple teen programs and activities.

Ability to develop, plan, and implement
short-range goals and objectives.

Skill in organizing resources and
establishing priorities.

Ability to make administrative/procedural
decisions and judgments.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication
skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of
constituencies in a diverse community.

Ability to coordinate, investigate and
analyze information and to draw conclusions to make recommendations.
-
Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
-
Able to support UGM’s statement of
Christian faith and share that faith and knowledge with clients and staff.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL
EFFORT:
-
Work is may be performed in a typical
interior/office work environment and/or exterior/outdoor environment.
-
Limited physical effort required.
-
Limited exposure to physical risk.
