Job Title: Teen Program
Coordinator
Type: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Ober Director
Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is a
Christian ministry dedicated to serving the homeless, poor, and addicted in

SUMMARY:
The Teen Program Coordinator will, plan, develop, organize, implement, and
evaluate activities connected to teen programming. Help to strengthen
current programming connected to discipleship, camp, and outreach
activities. Help to create a positive and safe Christian environment for
youth ages 12-17. This position requires organization, creativity,
communication, computer and administrative skills as well as specialized
knowledge of youth programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and implement teen programming which
could include after school programs, open gym, Soul Source, discipleship,
and leadership programs.

Work with Children’s program Coordinator
to streamline programming.

Recruit and train volunteers for program
support.

Provide materials and curriculum for
youth to memorize scriptures, participate in praise and worship, and study
the Bible.

Collaborate with Gospel Hill Camp in
children/teen programming.

Van driving as needed.
-
Demonstrate healthy touch, encourage
others verbally and identify positive social influences.

Record participation and progress
according to desired outcome indicators.

Provide written and/or oral reports of
the programs and activities to the Ober Director.

Meet with/Communicate with staff,
participants and community on a regular basis to share program goals,
instructions and opportunities.

Provide assistance to other Youth and
Family programs as needed. This may include programming, bible study and van
driving.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties
as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED some college/training helpful but not required.
At least (3) years successful experience in a work environment with at least
(1) year supervisory experience. Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s
license with a proven safety record.

to be a model of Christian behavior to all clients and the community.

Skill in organizing resources and
establishing priorities.

Ability to make administrative/procedural
decisions and judgments.

Ability to supervise and train volunteers
and intern-employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling
work assignments.

Ability to coordinate, investigate and
analyze information and to draw conclusions to make recommendations.

Ability to perform complex tasks and to
prioritize multiple projects.
-
Knowledge of federal, state, local, and
Mission regulations, guidelines, and standards in the personnel area and
ability to interpret and apply these.

Ability to create and utilize computer
documents (currently using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and
Publisher).
-
Ability and willingness to drive the
Mission’s 14 passenger van and own vehicle for work purposes.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL
EFFORT:

Work may be performed in a typical
interior/office work environment and/or exterior/outdoor environment.

Limited physical effort required.

Limited exposure to physical risk.
