Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator -
Latino Children's Program
Reports To: Director of Latino Ministries
Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is a
Christian ministry dedicated to serving the homeless, poor, and addicted in

SUMMARY:
Under the Director of Latino Ministries supervision, this person will design
a Latino Children’s program to reach out to Latino Elementary Children and
establish relationship with their parents, schools and community. This
requires comprehensive administration, organizational, and operational
skills and special knowledge; coordinates various program-related reports,
and maintenance of program databases; participates in operational planning
and coordinates the development of unit operating policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Person will assist Director of Latino
Ministries in design, implement, monitor, and evaluate a Christian & Bible
base Latino Children after school program.

Establish relationship with participating
Latino children & their parents.

Establish relationships with local
elementary schools, teachers, churches and community in regards to
Latino/Hispanic children.

Responsible in Celebrating
Latino/Hispanic holidays and events.

Translate all releases, documentation and
flyers in to Spanish

Assists & design in implementing the
specific program curriculum for Latinos children, and daily activities.

Assists with the coordination of
activities related to the program.

Assists Director of Latino Ministries in
tracking program expenses to ensure they do not exceed the program’s budget.

Confers with the Director of Latino
Ministries to review achievements and issues impacting reaching targeting
goals.

Serves as administrative liaison and
coordinates interaction between Latino clients and program.

Assists in transporting participating
clients to and from Latino Ministries facility.

Assists in recruiting, training, and
managing program bilingual (English & Spanish) volunteers for the purpose of
program expansion.

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties
as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated Christian maturity and passion for ministry. Associate degree
or 3-4 years experience related to the duties and responsibilities
specified. Fluent in English & Spanish (Verbal & Written) required.
Passionate for Latino Community. Must complete a background check with no
history of violence or sexual offenses.

Ability to train and supervise volunteers
and/or intern-employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling
work assignments.

Competent in use of computers and
Microsoft Office software applications.

Ability to be self motivated and
demonstrate initiative.

Growing faith in Jesus Christ and support
of the UGM’s statement of Christian faith and share that faith and knowledge
with staff and clients.

Possess a valid MN Driver’s License and
able to operate a UGM vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL
EFFORT:

Work may be performed in a typical
interior/office work environment and/or exterior/outdoor environment.

Limited physical effort required.

Limited exposure to physical risk.
