Job Title: Naomi Reception Desk
Reports To: Assistant Director of Adult Operations

describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not

SUMMARY:
The Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities is seeking to change lives with the
Gospel within the community. The Naomi Reception Desk volunteer would be on
call to fill in as a receptionist/office assistant during times of vacation
and illness of the regular staff. There are a variety of volunteer
opportunities to choose from in that this position is staffed in three
shifts 24 hours per day.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answering phones and directing calls.

Greeting and directing visitors.

Answering questions and performing
routine clerical duties.

Data entry and word processing.
-
Third shift includes some security
services such as monitoring security cameras, doors and alarms.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-
Experience as a receptionist, minimum of
5 years.

Basic computer skills using Microsoft
Word, Excel and email.

Experience with other office equipment
and phone systems helpful.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED:
-
Must be a self-starter and self-directed.

Must have positive attitude,
service-orientated disposition, assertiveness and confidence.

Competent in use of computers and
Microsoft Office software applications.

Able to support UGM’s statement of
Christian faith and share that faith and knowledge with staff and clients..
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL
EFFORT:
-
Work is normally performed in a typical
interior/office work environment.
-
Little to no physical lifting required.
-
No or very limited exposure to physical
risk.
