Child Care Center
Turning kids at risk into kids with hope...

Many Mission programs are designed to
help put the pieces back together when a life falls apart. The Child Care
Center is an early intervention program designed to help keep the pieces
intact. It’s a window of opportunity we can’t afford to miss. Originally
developed to care for the children of our Naomi Family Residence, our Child
Care Center has reached out into the surrounding community and also serves
many urban families in the downtown area.
-
Union Gospel Mission Child Care Center (UGMCCC)
offers licensed child care with a capacity to serve over 150 children from
ages 6 weeks through 12 years.
-
Child care is provided in a clean, modern
building with excellent equipment and top-notch staff. Our staffing ratios
(staff per student) are nearly twice the number required by state licensing
regulations.
-
UGMCCC uses Christian curriculum that is
designed to advance the children both spiritually and developmentally.
-
Students consistently score above the
national average in an independently administered school readiness
evaluation
There are a number of volunteer
opportunities available at UGMCCC.
- After completing an application and
passing a criminal background check, volunteers can assist staff in our
Infant, Toddler, Pre-School or School Age programs.
- Volunteers rock babies, play with
and read to children under the supervision of the teacher.
- Volunteers work with staff to
supply materials to children and to their families.
