With thanksgiving right around the corner we have a lot of opportunities to help with our thanksgiving food distribution! Last year we provided meals for over 55,000 people. Donate Food Items
It takes many generous donors and volunteers to feed 55,000 people at thanksgiving. will you partner with us and donate food that will help with the cause? Click here to download a list of what’s in a thanksgiving food bag.

Sorting Food Items
In October and November we’re looking for church, corporate groups and individuals to help sort our food items for the Thanksgiving food bag giveaway. The volunteer time commitment is flexible for this opportunity, there’s both daytime and evening options.

Thanksgiving Food Bag Registration
On October 25, 27, 30, November 1 and 3rd  the Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities will be having its annual Thanksgiving Food Bag registration. This opportunity involves registering families to receive a bag of food for Thanksgiving. In addition, volunteers are needed to: Engage people waiting in line/Hospitality Crew, Help with crowd flow, Parking lot attendants, Help individuals fill out paper registration forms

Thanksgiving Food Bag Distribution
On Monday, November 19th we will be distributing Thanksgiving Food Bags to the community. This event will be held at the Men’s Campus: 435 University Ave. E, St. Paul, MN. The majority of volunteer help will be in packing and hauling food bags for families. This opportunity involves packing bags and carrying groceries to cars.

Thanksgiving Day Meal Serving
On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22nd we will be having our annual Thanksgiving dinner for the community. The meal will take place at the Men’s Campus: 435 University Ave. E, St. Paul, MN. All volunteers will arrive at 10:45AM. Each individual and group are only allowed to serve 1 of the holiday meals (either Christmas or Thanksgiving). Ages 10+ are welcome.

Thanksgiving Potato Packing
On Thursday, November 15th and Friday, November 16th from 7pm – 10pm we are looking for volunteers to come in and help with packing potatoes and food bags for distribution. This opportunity will take place at the Men’s Campus: 435 University Ave. E, St. Paul, MN. A majority of this volunteer opportunity will require standing for long periods of time. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing Max group size of 15 people. Please sign up for one day. Ages 5+ are welcome.

Other Group Opportunities

Fine Dining Experience – Help create a fine dining experience for our students.  We’re looking for groups of volunteers to help with serving a meal and creating a five star experience as people eat in our dining hall.
These happen once a quarter on Saturdays, but we can customize a time frame that works for your group.

Sort Incoming Donations – Help our Central Services staff process clothing items as they get donated to us.  Volunteers will help sort, fold and organize our donation items.
This takes place Monday – Saturday from 1 – 3pm.

Want to learn more about the Mission but can’t make the reception? We’ve got additional tours available just for Eagle Brook attenders.
