Call (651) 789-7558 to make a gift by credit card or to speak to a donor relations officer. We’re available to assist you during regular business hours. If you call at another time, please leave a message and your call will be returned during regular business hours.

Donate goods

New or gently used items can be dropped off at the Donation Center located at the Mission’s Men’s Campus, 435 University Avenue East in St. Paul.

Hours: Donations are accepted Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Urgently needed items right now:

  • New or gently used bath towels
  • Men’s new underwear, all sizes, but especially small and medium
  • Men’s pants/jeans, all sizes, especially 30-, 32-, and 34-inch waist
  • Razors
  • Men’s shirts and T-shirts, especially sizes XL through 6XL.

Items we usually need:

  • New or gently used seasonal men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing
  • New or gently used outerwear, such as coats, hats, gloves, and scarves
  • New or gently used men’s, women’s, and children’s footwear
  • Personal care items, such as travel-sized shampoo, soap, razors, or shaving cream
  • New and used twin-size bed linens
  • New bed-sized blankets (not used, please, or sofa blankets, knit blankets, fleece tie blankets, or afghans)
  • New/gently used bath towels
  • New Underwear
  • New bed pillows (not used)

Items we can’t use:

  • Housewares, such as kitchen items, lamps, or furniture
  • Babyseats or strollers
  • Televisions
  • Computers
  • Appliances
  • Used toys
  • Used blankets
  • Used pillows
  • Sofa blankets, knit blankets, fleece tie blankets, or afghans
  • Medical supplies
  • Medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches)

Employer matching gifts

Check with your employer to see if your company has a matching-gift program through which your generosity to Union Gospel Mission can be multiplied. As a non-profit human services organization, Union Gospel Mission is eligible for many matching-gift programs from corporations, foundations, and other organizations.

Federal employee giving

If you are a federal employee, your donation to us is eligible for matching funds through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Our CFC Code is 38892. For more information, please visit the CFC page.

Donate stocks and other property

Gifts of appreciated securities offer tax advantages, including forgiveness of the tax on capital gains and an income tax charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities. You can also make gifts of property such as real estate, life insurance, and retirement accounts. These gifts provide tax advantages and may require independent appraisals to meet Internal Revenue Service guidelines.
