Men

We believe Jesus can make men whole. We provide holistic, wraparound programs and services for men affected by hunger, homelessness, addiction and mental health challenges.

Men come to Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities (UGMTC) for a variety of reasons. A recent job loss. A cycle of hunger and poverty. Cold temperatures or oppressive heat. A need to escape harmful influences. A rock-bottom moment in their struggle with addiction.

We welcome everyone who comes through our doors with kindness, compassion and dignity. A brief intake—available 24/7—helps us point guests in the right direction, whether that is our emergency shelter, transitional housing, or one of our full-time, residential programs. We share opportunities daily for men to discover a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Emergency Shelter

UGMTC offers a safe night out of the elements all year long at our emergency shelter, the Bethel Hotel. Located at 435 University Ave E, Saint Paul, MN 55130, guests can receive a hot meal, free clothing, laundry services, a hot shower, clean bedding, secure phone charging and safe shelter.

Men’s Residential Programs

For men seeking stable employment, housing and healthy relationships, UGMTC offers transitional housing and programs for up to 24 months.

HOUSING PLUS An affordable housing option for men who have a source of income. Minimal, flexible programming allows time for work and/or education.

ACTS TRAINING PROGRAM A Bible-based, transitional housing program that offers life-skills and job-skills training along with addiction and trauma recovery

CHRIST RECOVERY CENTER (CRC) A residential housing and addiction recovery program that combines Bible-based teaching with 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
