Mental Health Care

Promoting health and wellness through free therapeutic services for men, women, and children who reside at the Mission and medical care for people facing homelessness in the community.

In all of our programs, we include mental health concerns in each resident’s overall health care plan. Our onsite mental health and medical clinic provides easy accessibility and the opportunity to integrate the clinic’s services with our other programs and offerings. The clinic offers:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Intelligence, learning, neuropsychological and personality testing
  • Inter-disciplinary case management for all Mission residents
  • Conversations about God as invited and appropriate

Plus the clinic will train Mission staff in best practices for the care for all residents.

Clinical services hours

The mental health clinic is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Medical care

Healthcare at the Mission is also provided weekly through a partnership with Minnesota Community Care. Medical staff offers tuberculosis testing, treatment for minor injuries, some prescription refills, and other services to people living unsheltered in the community.

The mental health office also provides clinical supervision for graduate and doctoral-level college interns requiring continuing education credits.

If you’re interested in becoming an intern at the clinic contact Clinical Director Dr. Meaghan Johansen.

Give now

Your most generous gift today will provide mental health care along with meals, shelter, and more. Many of our residents and guests have never had this level of mental health and medical care anywhere, and it’s making a powerful difference in their health and wellbeing.

Give what you can to provide onsite mental health services and other care to the residents living on our campuses. Thank you!
