This Thanksgiving season, the Mission will be reaching in and reaching out with meals and more through our annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution, a special dinner served to Mission residents and community members in need at our St. Paul location, and hot Thanksgiving meals hand-delivered to people in need in the area.
This year, we encourage people who “Love Someone Who Needs Help” to refer neighbors in need to the Mission for our offerings and services.
Interested in serving neighbors this year? Volunteers are still needed to help with our drive-through Thanksgiving Food Distribution and to serve food at local high rises.
Here are our Thanksgiving events this year.
Thanksgiving Food Distribution
On November 22 and 23, community members in need who have registered beforehand, will be able to pick up a free bag of Thanksgiving food including, a frozen turkey, potatoes, and non-perishables at the Men’s Campus located at 435 University Ave E in Saint Paul.
This food distribution has been a Mission tradition since our earliest days as an organization. This season, we will be distributing 4,000 bags of groceries as we live out the love and compassion of Jesus to the community.
Special thanks to Edling Farms in Clear Lake, Minn. for donating over 25,000 pounds of potatoes this year and our friends at Thrivent Financial, Gopher Football, and Cub Foods, who helped with collecting groceries.

Thanksgiving Dinner Served at Local High Rises
In addition to Thanksgiving served onsite, we will also be delivering hotboxes of Thanksgiving food to residents in need at high rises in St. Paul. In this way, neighbors can join with others in their facility for a hot Thanksgiving meal served by caring volunteers.
