Hundreds of volunteers make the work of Union Gospel Mission possible each week. If you are ready to give someone a hand up, there are many ways to get involved.

Serving with the Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities provides the opportunity to reach out to those in need of your help and make a difference. Our volunteers often tell us the life impacted the most was their own.

We Serve others by providing Christ-centered, discipleship-oriented pathways and programs that restore dignity and wholeness to men, women, and children.

We Help those struggling with homelessness, poverty, and addiction find ways out of bondage and into the fullness of a life in Christ.

We Engage children, youth and families with our school tutoring and one-on-one mentorship programs.

We Educate others by offering a personalized education program, including G.E.D., and job training assistance.

We Activate our community by hosting events throughout the year that educate and increase awareness of issues surrounding homelessness, poverty, and addiction in the Twin Cities.

Group Opportunities

Fine Dining Experience – Help create a fine dining experience for our students.  We’re looking for groups of volunteers to help with serving a meal and creating a five star experience as people eat in our dining hall.
These happen once a quarter on Saturdays, but we can customize a time frame that works for your group.

Sort Incoming Donations – Help our Central Services staff process clothing items as they get donated to us.  Volunteers will help sort, fold and organize our donation items.
This takes place Monday – Saturday from 1 – 3pm.

Pray Everyday  – Volunteers are needed to help create notes of encouragement and pray over the beds in our Men’s programming.   This is a great opportunity to help give spiritual encouragement to our students.
Monday – Friday from 12 – 2PM at the Men’s Campus.

We hope that you come away with a better sense of who we are and how you can join what God is doing at Union Gospel Mission. All orientations take place at one of our St. Paul locations.
